Total Sale Price (including premium): £ 252,554 Christie's, South Kensington, held their second dedicated sale of the year on 6 October. This is the first time Christie's have held 2 sales in a year and together over 550 lots have been offered. In this sale 344 lots were 'up for grabs' on pieces ranging in date from pre-1897 MacIntyre right through to late 1990's designs. William Moorcroft Designs Of the William Moorcroft designs on offer, hammer prices realised ranged from A nother rare piece was a yellow lustre Poppy vase (27cm high). Estimated at£ 1000 - 1500 it achieved four times minimum estimate to sell at £ 4000. Other rarities included a Florian Ware Landscape vase (31cm high) which sold for £ 3000 against an estimate of £ 2500 - 3500 and an early Carp vase with knopped neck (31cm high) - estimate £ 2000 - 3000 which sold for £ 3800. Perhaps the surprise piece of the sale was a MacIntrye Blue Poppy pepper pot. Standing at just 7cm high and with a small star crack to the base, the piece appeared in the catalogue without an estimate but sold for £ 850. Sale Statistics
