Christie's second sale of 'Moorcroft Pottery' in the new millenium brings together over 340 lots spaning 100 years of production of Moorcroft (and even some, pre-William, McIntyre pieces).

Of the total, around 50% will be of interest to collectors of William pieces. Estimates range from no estimate, for a severly damaged Pomegranate twin-handled bowl, to £4,000 - £6,000, for a rare 32cm Lustre Landscape vase.

Most of William's designs are listed, for example:

  • Moonlit Blue with 11 pieces
  • Claremont 7 pieces
  • Eventide 6 pieces
  • Hazledene 4 pieces
  • Late Florian 5 pieces

as well as good quantities of Pomegranate, Wisteria, Leaf & Berry and Spring Flowers.

If you're attending the sale we wish you good luck in your bidding. If you can't attend why not get a review of the sale by visiting our 'Auction Review' page shortly after the sale has taken place on 6 October.
